The Meltem mechanism (Clic-Clac / Click-Clack) is a special functional furniture hinge that allows the backrest of sofas and sofa beds to be adjusted to two different sitting positions and fully opened to become a bed. Furniture with this mechanism is popularly called a "click-clack sofa bed" because of the sound it makes when opening and closing.
